Flash Fiction by Denny E. Marshall

Installers

"I think the customer will be pleased with this job," Joe said to his boss.

"Sure they will be.  It straight, tight, with no runs, and seams are perfect.  I would've picked a different color than green if it was my place though," said his boss Mark.

The company Joe works for has more five star reviews on the Galactic Services page than any other carpet installers.

"How did the owner find such an out of the way place?" Joe asked.

"Don't know," said Mark.

Jane looks up at the night sky and wonders why the moon is green.

  1. I like the ending. I am a fan of early Twilight Zone episodes. They traveled far away to see a green moon.
